The partnership between CAKE and SoftScience is one with many facets. Initially, we were hired to help put together the company’s perfect media mix and digital marketing strategy. But once we got started we just couldn't stop! We found ourselves helping out with inventory and in-stock products, future content, amplifying promotions, and improving mobile experience for website visitors—just to name a few.

That’s when our talented team at CAKE set forth to help sweeten up SoftScience’s unique marketing strategy. We created new partnerships and leveraged existing ones for increased brand recognition and growth. We established a successful paid social framework and proper media mix to achieve optimal success. And we took email marketing to new heights by increasing SoftScience’s marketing list acquisition by a whopping 167.8%. Furthermore, we launched Smart Shopping in early 2019. This campaign generated an astounding lift in incremental revenue since launch.

In addition, we worked to open up the appeal to diabetes and plantar fasciitis patients through new content pages. By including various blog posts and other textual work throughout the site, we were able to increase search engine optimization for related terms and bring in an increase of new customers with a direct need for SoftScience products. Of course, this was just a drop in the bucket when it came to other SEO tactics we utilized, including the reworking of meta tags and various other on-page fixes. In turn, this caused brand search to grow revenue 38% over the previous year.

However, the most successful aspect of our work with SoftScience is the improved visual aspect of the entire website. When we began, the site was outdated with a Magento backend. Our CAKE team was able to update the overall aesthetic of the website and all associated digital marketing materials for a cohesive and modern appeal. We also obtained new photographic assets through three photoshoots and created a gift guide for use during applicable holidays.
